The Aquaracer Bamford Limited Edition is a reliable professional tool replica watch made of striking matte, sandblasted titanium with eye-catching orange accents. I'll forgive you for thinking that a black dial with a titanium case and bezel would fall into the "play it safe" category, but the execution is a little bolder than we at replica TAG Heuer would expect. Design
As any fan of the old Carrera will tell you, the classic Carrera has three key attributes - a moderate size, with an easy-to-read dial, and finally no external bezel. Back in the 1960s, it was the Autavia with an external bezel, not the Carrera, and things changed when replica TAG Heuer introduced the first Carrera with an external bezel in 2005. Some 15 years later, the external bezel has become a common feature of many Carrera models. From a design point of view, the Carrera Elegant line follows the style of the Carrera 1887, a 41 mm chronograph launched in 2010. When the 1887 movement was phased out in 2018, replica TAG Heuer also replaced the Calibre 16 Carrera with a 41mm movement. The case has the same 12-6-9 layout. The result is a case thickness of 14.4mm, significantly smaller than the 15.9mm of the outgoing replica watch. Although available in a 39mm diameter case, the 160 Years Silver and Montreal versions are both 14.7mm. the reduced thickness makes the 1mm increase in diameter more acceptable - but yes, it would have been better if replica TAG Heuer had kept the case size at 41mm, but we can live with that increase, which really isn't noticeable on the wrist.

The dial has a textured "asphalt effect" with large black dials at 3 and 9 o'clock, and a smaller register at 6 o'clock to accommodate the seconds function and date wheel. But we're big fans of sapphire, regardless of the original piece. Not only is sapphire crystal scratch resistant (and the old plexis were prone to scratching), but we think sapphire looks better ...... better.
